Editing – it’s what I love to do!

I love magazines and as a skilled editor (20 years and counting…) I’ve been lucky enough to be a member of the top team on many titles. In recent years I’ve been freelancing as a senior editor on celebrity magazines (OK!, Reveal and Star), women’s lifestyle titles (more! magazine), student and teen publications (Face Up magazine) and business products (Circle Housing’s internal magazine Inside Out).

This has involved the use of a whole raft of skills from editing copy, passing layouts and overseeing team members, to subbing and proofing copy and contributing ideas, in my roles as editor, acting deputy editor and associate editor. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you require in-house cover, editing or consultation work.

Peter Andre ‘Our best holiday ever!’

This cover feature for OK! magazine is a chatty report divulging all the juicy details of Peter Andre’s African adventure with partner Emily MacDonagh, their daughter Amelia, and Pete’s two children, Junior and Princess, from his marriage to Katie Price. Determined to make it ‘one to remember’, the family went swimming with turtles, headed off on safari, had fun on the white sands and soaked up the laid-back atmosphere. Jealous? Maybe a little…

Calum Best ‘I can’t wait to see my girlfriend now’

A day after coming third in the latest series of Celebrity Big Brother, former model and notorious playboy Calum Best – son of the late footballing legend George Best – insisted he’s a changed man as he spoke about his feelings for girlfriend Ianthe Rose in this juicy interview for OK! magazine.

Melanie Sykes ‘I’m happier with my body now than I’ve ever been’

A few months before entering the jungle to take part in I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here!, I joined TV presenter and model Melanie Sykes for a day at Champneys health spa in Tring to talk about health, fitness and love for an in-depth feature for Ok! magazine. The 43-year-old mum of two revealed how she coped in the aftermath of her painful marriage split from her toy boy hubby Jack Cockings, her secret to staying so amazingly fit and why she doesn’t regret a thing in life. She also gave me a glimpse of her work-out regime and shared the details of her strict, but varied, diet.
